Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 08 March 2026
LearnEDvoices is committed to making its website usable and accessible to as many people as possible. This includes users with impaired vision, motor difficulties, cognitive impairments, learning disabilities, deafness, or impaired hearing. This aligns with UK guidance on digital accessibility for public‑facing content, which emphasises ensuring websites can be used by people with a wide range of access needs.
Our aim is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, which is the current benchmark used across UK digital accessibility requirements.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
-
Some guest-authored blog posts may have inconsistent heading structures or formatting.
-
Some embedded content (such as YouTube videos and LinkedIn posts) is provided by third parties and may not fully meet accessibility guidelines, which aligns with UK guidance on third‑party content exemptions.
-
Older documents or blog posts contributed by guests may not fully follow accessible formatting standards.
We are actively reviewing these areas and making improvements.
Non‑accessible content
Some content is exempt from accessibility regulations under UK guidance:
-
Third‑party content that is neither funded nor controlled by LearnEDvoices (e.g., embedded videos, external blog links, LinkedIn posts).
-
Legacy documents or older files created before accessibility improvements were introduced, where they are not essential to current service delivery.
We will replace or update non‑compliant content when possible.
What we are doing to improve accessibility
We are committed to continuous accessibility improvements and will:
-
Apply a consistent heading structure across new content.
-
Ensure meaningful alt text is added to all new images.
-
Improve contrast and readability of visual elements, following clear print and accessible communication recommendations.
-
Review embedded multimedia and, where possible, include captions or transcripts.
-
Follow UK accessibility expectations, including WCAG 2.2 AA, as reaffirmed in 2026 guidance on accessibility compliance.
